TATSIsa story of TATSfs trail
@@@@@@@@v Snow Storm@@@@2009. 12
@It had been snowing when Daisuke and I arrived at Minneapolis airport from Tokyo in Dec 8th.
I thought it was OK that we drove slow and keep between fences. The appointment of visit was 10am the next day in Storm Lake, Iowa where is 7 hours driven from here.
Snow was driven by hard wind. We drove slow. Roger invited us for pheasant hunting in northern Iowa in the day after tomorrow. He said gItfs a Christmas present for youh All right, Look forwardh Snow, snow, snow.
We were wondering to see so many car accidents on the road 35South.
It was the first time to come USA for Daisuke. Snow welcomed him blow hard. We got Mason City at 6pm. The town was covered by snow. The weather report said that it was a big blizzard and very cold in tomorrow morning.
Thanks. Kind Holiday Inn took snow out around our car to get out. But snow never stop and cold.
Our decision was right, cancel of visit and hunting. Letfs get out here.
The town was silent and only few traffic on the street. Before the highway I fueled full up. A man came out from the store and asked me gWhere did you have to going? Minneapolis? Good luck!h ? ???
Coming down we saw were only trucks,
we were heading north. Strong wind pushed us to right. Slow but watch well.
Snow shut off the front view. I could not see front. 3 Big trucks were fallen down sideways (See the attached photos) Or pushed out and tucked in the mid bunk. Until Albert Lea area we had no
car behind and front on 35N. It meant that we were stupid bustard or might be crazy.
I learnt really what *Good luck* mean.
I am not a trouble seeker. Believe me. Well, I know a good word that the mountain man as Jimmy Stuwart played in gHow the West was wonh, saidh I donft look for grizzly, but bear is there when turn the corner in the mountain.h
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
